We purchased the property at 1532 Greenock Avenue, Fayetteville, NC 28304 in April 2015. This house was acquired with the goal of uncovering the beauty inside and out. We’ve restored its appeal and added the features desired by today’s families.

This is a 1,950 square feet single-story Ranch-style home built in 1965 on 0.35 acres of land, with 4 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, and a garage converted into a family room. This property is listed for $129,900 and is available just in time for the summer weather and family BBQs.
Before and After pictures of 1532 Greenock Avenue
Before we applied our special touches, the house looked cold and tired. There was little curb appeal, and you could tell this home hadn’t been cared for the way it deserves in a long time.
Now, here is the exterior view with natural colors that elevate the features and body of this beautiful home. The dark forest green is an attractive contrast with the brick exterior. Railings were added to the front porch for safety and function. A new driveway was poured because the previous driveway was neglected and broken.
Entry
The front room was bland and the hardwood floors were in some serious need of TLC.
We kept the original front door as a nod to the 1950s and ’60s ranch style of this home. The floors were refinished with a cherry undertone to allow their beauty to shine through. There is a ton of light that comes through the large windows to keep the home bright and cheery.
The Kitchen
Before the remodel, the kitchen was dark and dreary. We ripped out everything for a complete fresh start.
With a more open design, the kitchen is now beautiful and spacious. Everything is new in this kitchen, from the cabinets & counters, backsplash, stainless steel appliances, track lighting & pendant light, and tile floor. The tile floor extends into the dining area and laundry room for a seamless look.
Master Bedroom
The Master Bedroom has plenty of light with windows on two walls, plus extra storage space from dual closets. The refinished hardwood floors flow from the hallway into the Master Bedroom.
The Master bathroom is breathtaking. It was transformed from a dated space with dull walls, freckled tile floors, and a green tiled shower.
Now, the Master Bathroom is magazine quality. The tile flooring carries forward from the kitchen and flows up the walls. A tranquil sea foam green paint on the walls will relax you as you start your day.
In the shower, the intricate tile work reveals a cascading, wavy white tile set amidst onyx colored tile that will be the envy of all your neighbors!
The “human car wash” shower system provides a customized shower that will make this your oasis. There are multiple jets that are adjustable, plus a shower head & wand to ensure you’ve hit every square inch of your body. The digital display confirms the water is at your ideal temperature.
The Hall Bathroom
The previous hall bathroom was dark and run down. On the walls was some sort of sponge faux paint that was just atrocious.
The new bathroom kept the dual closet storage space, but is now well-lit, inviting and attractive with a new vanity, toilet, mirror, and lighting.
Three Additional Bedrooms for the children and guests
The three additional bedrooms are all approximately the same size and shape. Before the rehab, the hardwood floors were old and dry.
The hardwood floors have been refinished with a cherry stain that evokes a warm, welcoming feeling. New lighted ceiling fans were installed in each bedroom and a fresh coat of paint has been applied throughout the home.
Family Room
From the dining area, follow the tile through the dedicated laundry area to the family room. The family room is a converted garage of approximately 400 square feet. The dated paneling and wood-fire stove were removed to make this a comfortable space for the family to enjoy.
This heated square footage is a nice addition to the home. The exposed brick and wood beams add character to the family room that isn’t available in most homes. All new carpet was laid down to bring comfort to your toes.
